1:32nd SCALE (54mm)

Stormtrooper, Saxon Divisional Assault Company, 1917

The figure depicts a Stormtrooper taken from a group photo of 8 soldiers standing around an NCO/officer. The men are all armed with trench knifes and P08 Luger pistols (apart from one soldier who carries the Mauser C96). The left hand thumb of this soldier appears to be cleanly bandaged indicating an after combat photo.

Kit includes: 2 different water bottles, Luger pistol, combat knife, canvas gas mask holder and rolled up ground sheet over the shoulder. He wears the M16 steel helmet and a second choice head with field cap is available. This figure, like manly of the others from JSM has been taken from an original photograph.

Gaede Helmet 1915

This unique helmet was devised by Oberstleutnant Hesse in the Artillery Depot Mühlhausenthe by request of the Army Detachment Gaede fighting at the time on the Vosges front in 1915. Consisting of a helmet with an extended nasal bar fixed to a leather cap. Approximately 1500 were produced of which most would have been melted down when the M16 Helmet became available.  The model has the head already moulded onto helmet.

Released November 2009, Price: Euro 2.75

German Steel Helmet M.18 with Ear Cut-Outs

The last model to see service during the war, if only in small numbers was the M.18 Ohrenausschnitt, or Helmet with ear cut-outs, more commonly (and stubbornly) known as the Cavalry or Telegraph Helmet. In fact the cut-outs were a further design feature of the M.18 to improve the hearing ability of the wearer.

Released March 2009, Price: Euro 2.50

NEW PROJECTS

For the past few years a lot of thought has gone into bringing out a WWI vehicle in the 1:15th  scale. A preliminary research on the basic measurements for 3 or 4 subjects has taken place and no final decision has been taken. Also, many questions are still unanswered in respect to casting techniques, amount of detail to be shown, or basically where to stop and will it be affordable.

Another new idea is the creation of a new 1:15th scale, 120mm French figure. The smaller 54mm Polui have always been popular and it would be pleasing to experience the same amount of positive feedback in this larger scale. Maybe one could combine the 2 new ideas...
